Dr. Laurie Mattera received
her Bachelor of Arts degree from Marycrest College
in Davenport, Iowa and earned her Doctor of
Philosophy degree from Loyola University Chicago in
Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Mattera is a member of the
American Psychological Association. She is certified
as a Domestic Violence Counselor and has her level 1
certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing (EMDR).
She provides individual
psychotherapy, neuropsychological evaluation and
assessment, and treatment of adults with a wide
variety of conditions including stroke, traumatic
brain injury, stress control, substance abuse and
behavioral modification. Dr. Mattera is also
experienced in Vocational/Career assessment and Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Dr. Mattera enjoys working with
patients in the hospital setting and provides
therapy and support to both patients as well as
their families to meet their goals and return to
independent function.
